First week at LOST SURFBOARDS (California) for the 2 Frenchys

Nous voici, Mon pote Paul et moi même arrivée en Californie, à San-Clémente, où nous avons commencé à bosser et surfer bien sûr il y à déja quelques jours, Ici les gars chez Lost nous appellent les "COOL KIDS", toutes les fiches techniques des planches que nous glassons sont nommées comme ça!Au programme donc pour l'instant chez LOST, plus de 40 planches à faire entièrement de A à Z par Paul et moi-même. Résine teintée, polish, Matt biolos donc le shaper et fondateur de Lost veut des couleurs très flashy et trash, nous avons donc essayez pas mal de nouveaux truc sur ces premières boards, et pour l'instant ça le fait Biolos est très content. Nous sommes donc hébergé gratuitement chez biolos et sa famille avec sa ribambelle de petit loupiot. Nous avons était accueilli comme des princes à mon grand étonnement! Je ne reviens toujours pas de l’accueille qui nous a été fait alors que nous ne sommes que de simples glasser. Le premier jour, à peine arriver, Matt nous a amené surfer avec lui à Lower (trestles) où une droite d'1m50 déroulais sur plus de 100m de long! Impressionnant ici de voir que tout les jours sont offshore en ce moment avec de la houle tout les jours et du soleil! ouais c'est assez paradisiaque! Putain on est à fond! Paul à déja rencontré une petite califonienne qu'il doit aller voir demain soir à Laguna Beach, et nous allons pas tarder à nous faire piquer par les meilleurs tatoueurs de Venice beach! VIVA LA CALIFORNIA!!!

Here we are, My buddy Paul and I the same arrival in California, to San-Clemente, where we began to work and to surf of course already since a few days, Here at Lost surfboards everybody call us the "COOL KIDS"!!! To the program thus at the moment at LOST, more than 40 boards to be made completely from A to Z by Paul and myself. Coloured resin, polish, biolos Matt thus the shaper and the founder of Lost wants very flashy colors and trash, we thus have try not bad of new thing on these boards first ones, and at the moment that makes it Biolos is very satisfied. We are thus accommodated free of charge to biolos and his family with its swarm of small kid. We have was welcomed as princes in my big surprise! I do not still return of welcomes it which was made for us while we are only of simple to glasser. The first day,it dly to arrive, Matt brought us to surf with him to Lower ( trestles ) where a right of 1m50 unwound on more of 100m of length! Impressing here to see that everything days are offshore.At the moment with the swell everything in daytime and of the sun! Yeah it is rather paradisiac! Whore we are completely! Paul already met a californian girl that he has to visit tomorrow evening to Laguna Beach, and we are going not to delay making us fall by the best tattooers of Venice Beach! VIVA LA CALIFORNIA!!!

End of the "Australian glass trip"

Et voila, après avoir fêter le nouvel an sous le pont de Sydney hier soir, je commence à packer mes affaires, et donc demain départ pour LOS ANGELES, où mon deuxième Lucky Bastard (Paul) me rejoint! ça va etre grave!!je viens de passer 3 mois géniaux ici à Sydney, j'ai bosser sur un paquet de belle boards, j'ai rencontré des superbes personnes, j'ai surfer des pures vagues et évidemment je suis un peu triste de partir d'ici, mais en même temps tellement excité de continuer mon voyage! Juan m'attend donc de pied ferme l'année prochaine, c'est décidé je reviendrais donc travailler ici l'hiver prochain.

After celebrate the new year under the bridge of Sydney, yesterday night, i starting to pack all my stuff, and tomorrow departure for LOS ANGELES! Where my second Lucky Bastard (Paul) will meet me! It's will be fuckin good!! I just spend 3 amazing months here in Sydney, I worked on beautiful boards, i met amazing peoples, i surfed good waves, so yeah i'm little bit sad to leave here, but so excited to continue my travel! Juan of RHINO LAMINATING is a such good person, he support me in the work as i do, and i'm so stocked to met him!Juan is already waiting me for the next year, so i will definitely come back work here next winter!!

Polish work with sanded finish stripe

I polished this handshaped board by Mike Psillakis, i did this good trick to mix polished and sanded finish, it's look good!

J'ai polishé cette planche shapée à la main par Mike Psillakis, j'ai fait cette bonne technique de mélanger l'aspect polish et finition ponçage en faisant des stripes, ça rend plutôt pas mal!

Trailer SACRE BLEU, A film documentary about Surfboards

Hey, this is a trailer of my film documentary as i'm doing right now! It's a trailer with the australian part only, because i'm actually doing this film, so my travel/film is not finished yet.

SACRE BLEU is a documentary film of 1hour30min, which calls the best glassers / shapers / artists / photographers around the world to tell their story, it is also a travelogue, which traces the 8 months of my experience going through the world to work myself in all these workshops surfboards, since I am myself Glasser. Starting with Australia and California, Canada, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and the film not just talking about "glassing" because it incorporates many different images lyfestyle, surfing (many images aquatic ), skate, music and landscape. The soundtrack is composed entirely of small independent artists, who explore the roads of the "post-rock", "instrumental hip-hop", "punk-hardcore" or "folk"
I am currently filming the movie, the release is not expected before summer 2012.

Polish job for CARL LAMAITRE on his pipeliner single fin

Je viens de finir aujourd'hui le pipeliner de CARL, avec pas mal "d'options" dessus, tout d'abord carl a sorti un shape hyper design, uniquement conçu pour le tuberide, et avec un spoon sur le nose, puis il à glassé le bottom en translucide "avocat", puis le top avec un tissu glassé, et m'a laissé libre cour pour le reste, j'ai donc polishé uniquement le" patch de tissu déco" le bottom+les rails sont donc en sanded finish, et j'ai laissé le spoon au nose en texture "fibre de verre", il n'y à donc aucun hot coat/gloss sur cette endroit, la fibre n'est pas ponçée, cela fait donc une texture différente avec un aspect "trame"!!!cool!

I just finished today the "pipeliner" of Carl, with lot of "options" on, in first Carl did a hyper design shape, only build for tuberide, with a spoon on the nose, and he glassed the bottom with a translucent "avocado", and the top with a "fabrics", and then i did a "abstract finish" : the bottom and the rails are in sanded finish, and polished only the "fabric patch", and leave a fiberglass texture on the spoon: no hot coat/gloss, the fiber is no sanded, it's only the fiberglass! cool!

Sanding job for Gato Heroi Surfboards

C'est moi qui m'occupe de poncer toutes les Gato Heroi pour l'australie, que Evan (Sickrat) shape et glass, ce mec est un inventeur!! Pour moi il à révolutionné l'art du glass! Il a crée un style avec les gato heroi, qu'on ne voit nulle part ailleurs, la preuve avec ce vee-bottom bien classic, qu'il vient de teinté en faisant des patchs volan, complétement abstrait et asymétriques! Il vient encore une fois d'inventer sous mes yeux la semaine dernière un nouveau glass, cela fait maintenant plusieurs semaines que je le filme pour le long métrage/documentaire que je suis en train de réaliser à l'occasion de mon voyage.

I sanded this Gato Heroi, as My dude Evan (sickrat) as shaped and glassed, fuck!!this man is a creator!!! For me he did a revolution in the glass history! He has created something new with the gato heroi. For example look at this Classic Vee-bottom, as he shaped for himself, he did a crazy abstract patch, and that's awesome! I film him since a couple of weeks, for the film/documentary as i do for my travel.
